Luke, you had a very good season and were awarded All-Conference in the SWSC Blue as a sophomore, how exciting was that?
It was really exciting having such a great season especially as a sophomore playing on varsity.
What was the highlight of your game this season?
I think the highlight of my game this year was the ability to be a workhorse and gain at least 5 yards a carry. I had a lot of opportunities with the ball in my hands and I made sure to make the most of it.
What does your off-season training look like?
I go to team training after school Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. I also lift by myself at least 5 times a week. On the weekends I also go to the field to do some position drills.
What are you working on to improve this off-season?
This off-season I'm really looking to gain more speed and explosiveness while also getting stronger so I could break off bigger runs next year.
What would you say is your strongest trait on the field?
On the field I think my strongest trait is being able to fix and forget mistakes that I made so that I could move onto the next play.
You’ve been playing football since you were young, what does football mean to you?
Football is important to me because it gives me a chance to work hard and be the best version of myself. I also am able to work with my teammates so that we could reach a common goal which is to win.
How are your grades this year?
My grades are really great. I have a 4.78 GPA in honors and AP classes.
If there is one thing you want to college coaches to know about you, what would that be?
It would be that I am very coachable. If they tell me there's something that I have to fix, I'm going to do it until I get it right.
Last question-If there is one player on your team that you would say this is going to be his year, who would that be?
I think that Quinn Durkin (C/O 2027 RB) is going to have a breakout season because he had varsity experience as a freshman and that's only going to take him to the next level.
