Jalen Johnson how was your 2019 season?
The season started off great I got pulled to varsity as a sophomore and started both ways in the DVC. I scored two touchdowns and was on track to have a great season before unfortunately breaking my collarbone in the 4th game.
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know that I’m a hard worker on and off the field, I try to lead by example, I’m extremely competitive, and that I feel like I’ve got room develop.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
Now that I’m 6’3” I would say my size and athleticism are my strongest traits but I also think my football knowledge is helping me use those better.
What does football mean to you?
Football is very important to me and I love every part of the sport. I plan to play at the highest level and to stay around the game as long as possible.
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
This offseason I’ve working on my foot speed and strength and with those thing I feel like how I use my body to my advantage has also improved.
How does Metea Valley look for the upcoming season? I love my team! We have a lot of people who have been stepping up in practice. I feel we are fast and athletic and play with a lot of heart. Coach Parpet is building something special at Metea and I’m very happy to be apart of it.
