Benjamin Rodriguez QB De La Salle Class of 2021 6'2 190
Benjamin Rodriguez how was your 2019 season? Last season was a great experience. We had our ups and downs as a team but built a strong foundation for the years to come. I was able to connect with my new teammates and get comfortable in a new system during my many opportunities I had on the field. What schools have you talked to so far? So far I’ve been offered by Loras, Millikin, and Roosevelt. Schools I have talked to include CUW, Quincy, Carthage, Wisconsin Lutheran, Illinois Wesleyan, and Carthage. What should college coaches know about you? Coaches should know I have a strong work ethic to better myself on the field and in the classroom. I am always looking for ways to improve my game. I take pride in my competitiveness, and am willing to do anything it takes in order to win. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My strongest trait is being able to improvise and make throws outside the pocket. I stay calm when everything collapses and take pride in my abilities to make something out of nothing. I have confidence in my accuracy on throws both on the run and off platform as much as I do when sitting comfortably in the pocket. What do you enjoy about playing QB? Playing quarterback is one of the most challenging positions in sports. I enjoy the pressure placed on me for every snap, game, and season, as it pushes me to work harder in order for us to be successful. Being the leader of the offense and conducting each drive is a special role on the team that I embrace. Overall, playing quarterback created my love for the game.
