Justin Ibegbulem Bartlett DL/TE Class Of 2024 6'3 223
Justin Ibegbulem how was your junior season?
It was possibly the most fun time I’ve ever had playing sports. I had a decent season individually, but, as a team we didn’t achieve our goals. Even though we didn’t get the results we wanted, it was a blast
What does football mean to you?
Football is my opportunity to help out my family. Even though I picked up the game two years ago, I fell in love with it and it keeps me level. That’s what football means to me What should college coaches know about you? I’m a sponge. I love hearing feedback from coaches and teammates. I love to learn new techniques. I’m also willing to work. I want to be the best player I can so that drives me.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
My communication. I think it stems from my basketball experience but I feel like my communication is great on the field
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
Definitely my strength. I didn’t really start lifting until last year so I’m just trying to catch up on that. Other than that my hands when pass rushing
How does Bartlett look for the upcoming season?
We look really good in my opinion. We’ve got some dogs on both sides of the ball. Some of the younger guys are eager to step up and us seniors want to make this year special. So we’re looking good
Who on Bartlett is ready for a breakout season? When it comes to the trench guys, Sam Mancilla. He’s crazy strong and he’s just an all-around athlete. With him being in the 2025 class I think in Illinois we should hear more of him. Besides him I got to say Matthew Teruel and Jacob Caradine. They’ve been working all offseason so I’m excited to see what’s next for them.
