Kenyon Johnson Limestone 5'11 145 Athlete Class of 2024
Kenyon Johnson how was your sophomore season? I would say it went good, I got better as an individual and teammate, I worked hard and I got more reps! What does football mean to you? Football means a lot to me (everything), whenever I’m down football helps bring me up when I’m not in the best mental state and have a lot of stress going on football helps me get rid of that, football brings me happiness, hope, motivation, determination. It helps me deal with a lot of my personal problems I can say. The game brings me a lot of joy, it gives me a lot of benefits. I fell in love with the game and now I’m using it as a way to help my mom not have to break her back anymore and as a way to make a life/something out of myself. What should college coaches know about you? I’m 16 years old, I go to limestone community high school, I’m in 10th grade, I currently have all A’s, I’m from Peoria Illinois, I’m raised by my single mother, I have 1 sibling (brother-Christian Johnson 13 years old), I play football and I wrestle, I want to become a nurse/surgeon, I’m 5’10/11 and 155 lbs. Currently I’m staying in a rental home because my house burned down in December. Also, I’m a QB/DB/WR.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? Definitely my IQ and teamwork and also the ability to make the pre play read on offense and call the audible. How does Limestone look for the upcoming season? I think we look pretty solid we are one of the younger squads, we have really good team chemistry and I definitely look forward to seeing what we can do this upcoming season as a team and individually. Who else on Limestone should I be on the lookout for this upcoming season? Connor Pilgrim, because he works hard not only on the field but in the weight room and during school and outside of school, he is a stud linebacker that can read the offense with ease and has the ability to make the extra tackle that our defense needs!
