Carter Hicks how was your first two weeks back on the field? The first two weeks of being back on the field is an unreal feeling, I love going out there to compete on a weekly basis with some of my closest friends. I think something that really shows about our team is how much fight we have for this game. I am really proud of how we competed in the last two weeks, and I can’t wait to see what else this season brings. What does football mean to you? Football to me means family. I think the sport is unmatched with any other sport there is, because there is nothing else that brings a group of people together as well as an entire community. to add onto that, Football is an opportunity for success and well-being in the upcoming future. What should college coaches know about you? I think one thing coaches should know, is that faith, family, school, and football are the most important things in my life, and that’s the motivation for my performance. In the off season, I am focused on what’s at task, but also the long-term goal of Perusing the game I love at the next level. What schools have you talked to so far? This year I picked up offers from McKendree, Quincy, and North Central College, but outside of that I have talked to Iowa, Memphis, Ball State, UCM, Bemidji, and a few more. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? Leadership is something I strive to achieve on a daily basis. That includes on and off the field. How does Columbia look so far? Honestly, I think this is the year we turn around our program. Our team is very committed as well as competitive to this game. Bottom line is that we look significantly better than last year.
