North Suburban Conference 2022 Preview With Coach Big Pete - Who Can Beat The Blue Devils?
Welcome back IHSA Football!!! As is every June conference previews and again please remember predictions and previews mean crap. High school football is the greatest thing because of pure parity. What is up last year could be down this year and what is down last year can up this year. ANYTHING AND I MEAN ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN IHSA FOOTBALL. Last year 2021 was pure anarchy and no one knew what was going on. Also, unlike some prep writers who take credit and copy and paste the coach's work off a crap team questionnaire I do my own work. NORTH SUBRUBAN CONFERENCE 2022 Season Preview
Warren Township is the clear favorite in this conference, and ir really isn't that much of surprise. Warren Township has one of the best secondaries in the state and let's not forget underrated line play. For my two surprises teams, I have Zion-Benton and Stevenson. Lake Zurich is my contender team along with Libertyville this fall, and along with Lake Forest who I feel will be taking a step back this season. Mundelein has a good shot at starting to be 4-0, but those last 5 games are brutal. Waukegan is going to have to tough this one out this season and find a defense. Libertyville could be huge surprise this season with that offense and a riser in a QB. Zion-Benton is that good and along with its defensive line that could cause havoc against other offenses. Stevenson to me is going to have a surprise season and if I'm wrong, I will eat crow for my pick. Really believe that Stevenson is going to shock some teams this season. Lake Zurich & Libertyville could have some long runs in November and could get some big-time upsets in the playoffs. This Conference will feature some great trench players that could be the strength of some teams and the bad break of other teams.
BEST BET: Warren Township want a Title
TOP BET: 4 NSC teams will make the IHSA Playoffs
WON'T BAT AN EYE: If Libertyville gets to 7-2
DA BEARS: Lake Zurich could be a major thorn in Warren Township's side
