Meet Peotone Athlete Dawson Piper Class Of 2023

So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Dawson Piper Peotone Class of 2023 Athlete 5'9 190

Dawson Piper how was your season? Really good I made captain as a junior, all conference, all academic team and defensive player of the year honors. I'm very proud of my achievements this season, but it’s not good enough if we’re not winning that state title What does football mean to you? Football has helped mold me into the person I am today. It’s given me the want to be great at something and have the work ethic to be great. It’s made me a better leader and overall person. As well as how to overcome adversity and not be afraid to fail. Football means the world to me and I owe a large amount of success now and in the future to football. What should college coaches know about you? I’m aware I’m undersized, but don’t disregard me because of that. I will play any position and work as hard as possible to be the best player I can be. Not only in the weight room but I will also know the scouting report better than anyone on the team. In addition to football I’m a high honor roll student and in AP and honors classes. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My mind and fundamentals I knew if I wanted to be great I had to be the most fundamentally sound and smartest player on the field. So I, work day in and day out on my mind watching film, reading the scouting report, and learning new techniques. As well as working on my steps, tackling, block shedding, and stance at linebacker. Who else on Peotone should I keep an eye out for the upcoming season? Dylan Sroka and Justin Amaskane, two of the hardest workers I’ve been around. Great people and leaders I expect a great year out of them this year. As well as phenomenal students.
