Quentin Burrell Mount Carmel WR 6'2 178 Class Of 2027
Quentin Burrell what does football mean to you?
To me football means everything. Football is my way to express emotion, clear my head, and be free.
How was your 8th grade season?
My 8th-grade season was good. It was the first year that I got to play wide receiver. The season taught me a lot about the receiver position and shaped me for my upcoming high school career. Though we ultimately did not reach our goal of winning state, we bonded as a team and created a strong brotherhood.
What do you like about playing WR?
What I like about playing WR is the grind. All the work that I put in the past eight months has helped me get to where I am today. I don't care about all the fancy highlights and what people see me do. What I like is what I do when nobody's watching. The 1 on 1 training sessions with my trainer Landon, who critiques all the minor errors in my game, so I can be the best version of myself.
How excited are you to start high school football?
I'm really excited to play for the best high school program in Illinois. Mount Carmel is the best on the football field, but I also feel like Mount Carmel, as a school, is one of the best at creating a lifelong brotherhood and teaching boys how to become men.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
I believe that my strongest trait is understanding defenses and knowing how to exploit their weaknesses.
Who are some other Mount Carmel Class of 2027 players we should be on the lookout for?
You should be looking out for Duran Sims, Lawerence Carr, Jayden Brown, Ryder Startz, Josiah Wallace, and Tavares Harrington.
