Meet Fremd Athlete Luke McIlhon Class Of 2025

So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Luke Mcllhon Fremd Athlete Class Of 2025 6'1 175

Luke Mcllhon how was your sophomore season?

My sophomore season didn’t go as well as I hoped for, and I think I have a lot of things to improve this offseason. I think I did learn a lot about my game and improved in many ways, but I have more work to do.

What was one of your favorite memories last season?

My favorite memory was beating Conant in a really close game down to the last drive of the game. Overall, as a team we played a hard-fought game and got the win we deserved.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?

I think my strongest trait in the football field is my tackling and ability to run after the catch. In the off-season I worked as hard as I could to get faster and stronger and that translated well to my performance on the field.

What should college coaches know about you?

College coaches should know I always try to be as coachable as possible and I will always have the drive to do whatever it takes for the team to win. I will put maximum effort all the time to make sure I am doing as much as I can for the team.

What part of your game do you plan on working on in the offseason?

I plan on putting on as much muscle as I can to help me improve my ability to tackle and get off of blocks. I also am trying to improve my speed so that I can improve all parts of my game.

Who is one player on Fremd that is going to have a breakout season next season?

One player on Fremd that I think is going to breakout next season is Will Klimas. Will has always been the most hardworking kid that I know and he will continue to do so. Although he hasn’t gotten a true chance yet, I believe next season he is going to show everyone that his determination and work ethic have greatly helped him become the player he is.

What goals do you have for yourself next season?

Next season my biggest goal is to help my team make it to the playoffs. We have struggled the past couple of years and I think we are ready to turn it around. Another goal I have is to be All-Conference.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting
