Ethan McCarter how was your Junior season? I felt that I had a really good breakout junior season. My coach and QB found ways to get the ball to me in the slot and WR. My confidence level progressed each game along with my yardage. What does football mean to you? Football means a lot to me, things like an escape from reality when I’m on the field I’m focused and everything feels good. It’s also my passion like I really have a lot of people rooting me on and things to accomplish. What should college coaches know about you? I’m a very hardworking kid and determined in and out of the classroom with anything I do, I always want to do what’s best for the team if that has to be switching my position etc. I am always going be very coachable and humble with everything that comes my way and I’m a very competitive player and will always get the job done. What do you like about playing WR? What I like about played WR is how I can show off my skill set and speed against my opponent, also the feeling and confidence you get after making a big or clutch play on your opponent is unmatched to anything else. All eyes are on you and you have no choice but to show up and show out What is your favorite route to run? My favorite route to run would have to be either a comeback or a post corner What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My strongest trait would have to be my hands or route running the way I can create separation from the defender and go up and get the ball wherever it’s thrown What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season? My biggest goal is to make it to state with my team and see how far we can go, but other goals I have are to get the most out of my stats and maximize the amount of film I can send out and show coaches, as well as getting more recognition of my skills and more people seeing what I’m really about.
