Jake Hoeppel how was your 2019 season?
Our 2019 season was great. We won some big games. As the season went on, we improved and grew as a team.
What does football mean to you?
Football means everything to me. I have been playing football since 1st grade. It has been a big part of my life. I had the same coach for 8 years and he taught me that football is about brotherhood, teamwork, discipline, leadership and always getting better.
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
I continue to work on my footwork and throwing mechanics at Throw It Deep every weekend. I have also been working on my speed.
What do you like about playing QB?
I love that I have the ball in my hands on every play. I love the pressure. I love reading a defense and making plays. It is also a position of leadership. I try to make everyone around me better. My job is to get the ball to our playmakers and let them do what they do.
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know that I love the game and I love to win. I also hope to show them that I helped lead Benet Academy to a state championship with a loaded 2023 class.
What is your favorite route to throw to?
I would say my favorite route to throw is a post corner.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field?
I think my strengths are my accuracy, my pocket presence, and my ability to extend plays and throw on the run.
