Tyrese Johnson how has your offseason been so far? It’s been great. I have been lifting, going to db training, and working outside with some of my teammates How was sophomore season? Sophomore season was great. I had about 25 tackles, 20pbu’s, 2 interception, 3 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. What does football mean to you? Football is my first love. As soon as I picked up a football in 1st grade I fell in love with it. Football is my life. I hope to play the game of football for a very long time.
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know that I am a hard worker, a leader, and a very well put young man. I push myself everyday because I know that there are people out there who have the same goals as me. So I grind and work hard everyday to maintain that edge.
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
My press man. I know I’m going to be going against some top receivers and I pretty much have everything else down pack. So once I get my press man down I’ll become a force to be reckoned with.
What do you like about playing defensive back?
I love having that pressure on me. Defensive back is the hardest position in football. I believe that I’m the best athlete every time I touch the field. And I keep that dog mentality every time I play the game of football.
What are your goals for the upcoming season? CCL defensive player of the year, 35 tackles, 21 PBU’s, 5 INTs, 4 forced fumbles. STATE CHAMPION!!
