So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Brady Teschner Conant QB/ATH Class Of 2025 6'1 180

Brady Teschner how is your season going for you so far? I just got cleared 4 weeks ago from my broken leg. It has been a tough ride to recovery. The team has had a nice season, but we have had two tough weeks in a row against Hoffman and Palatine. We will bounce back this week against Fremd. As for me, I've been getting time in on special teams and on defense, varsity-wise. JV-wise, I've been the starting QB and this past week, I was not feeling any pain in my leg for the first time, I played both ways starting at corner. This week I am hoping to have a bigger role in the varsity game. What does football mean to you? I have played football since I was 5 years old. It is a big part of my life and always has been. My dad played football. My uncles played football. My grandpas played football. I love football because I get to line up across from someone and test myself against them. I get to test my preparation against theirs. I get to compete with my friends, against my friends and for my friends/teammates. 11 guys on each side of the ball playing their hardest for each other. I like the feeling of success when the team gets to celebrate together. I love the feeling of contributing with the ball in my hands or not. It is the ultimate team game! What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know that I am a passionate, hardworking, and dedicated football player. I am going to play 100 on every single play and find ways to help the team win. I am committed to doing whatever it takes to contribute to the team. I love competing, regardless of the sport. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I believe that my strongest trait is that I find ways to compete. I am very, very competitive, sometimes to a fault, but I will find a way to improve, get better, learn, etc. I want to compete in all that I do and that is no different on the football field.

Who on Conant is having a breakout season? It's so hard to pick just one player. Many of my teammates are impressive on the field and off. Senior TJ Ramsay has been absolutely electric for us when he has the ball in his hand. When he touches the ball, anything can happen. On defense, he's a great coverage corner. Senior Dom Mininni has been the heart and soul of our offense. He takes a beating and keeps on coming. He's one of the rushing leaders in the conference because he has a huge heart.
