Henry, the regular season has just ended, and Glenbrook South finished 5-4. Congratulations! How has your season been going?
My season has been going great with my great since I have been able to maintain my strength that I had gained over the summer, which has transitioned to the field and enabling me to get over 60 tackles this season and play well as an undersized nose guard.
The playoffs begin now. How are you and your team preparing for the upcoming round one game against Marist?
First off, as a team we plan to study their play style and their strengths and weakness. As well, some players may have some tendencies which could tell my team how they operate. Also we plan to play as one whole team, playing for each other and the grades below low us. Now, I am studying how their offensive line operates and how each linemen step and strike know what I need to do to against this good team.
What is your strongest trait on the field?
I believe it is my determination and speed.
You are a two-sport athlete that wrestles as well. How has wrestling helped you with football?
Wrestling has helped me get better leverage and has helped me fight through difficult situations?
You are the definition of a student athlete, with a 3.9GPA and you scored a 30 on the ACT? What do you do that helps you balance school and sports?
I make a list of all the homework/studying I need to do that day and I enable myself to work during it after practice or other available times throughout the day.
What are your goals for college?
I hope to continue my athletic career hopefully either playing football or wrestle.
If you had one person on your team that you can say is having a great year, who would it be?
I would say Tyrone cotton is having a great year. He has helped my team out greatly on the offense and defense this year.
What is one thing you want coaches to know about you?
That I am will be one of the hardest workers in the room.
