Dylon, how did your freshman season go?

My freshmen season went well, I had good games from week 1-4, before I got injured with a fractured ankle.

What do your off-season workouts look like?

My off-season workouts are amazing, I get up every Tuesday and Thursday morning to go lift with my team so we can become a greater team overall and become stronger player on and off the field.

What is the strongest part of your game?

My strongest part of my game is when I catch the ball and try get through defenders to score a touchdown.

What are you working on to improve this off-season?

This off-season I am trying to improve on my route running, my speed, personal records in the gym, and becoming a starting slot receiver.

What do you like about playing slot receiver?

What I like about being a slot receiver is that i’m one of the top receivers my qb looks for once he snaps the ball. I also like being able to run any route.

How is school going this year academically?

This school year academically is going very well for me, I earned myself a 3.17 GPA first semester and now i’m headed to a 3.6 GPA with straight A’s and B’s grades in my grade book.

You’ve been invited to quite a few camps, do you plan on attending any camps this summer?

Yes. I’m attending eastern Illinois prospect camp this summer.

What can we expect from Sandburg this season?

This season you can expect Sandburg to be one of the highest ranked football team in Illinois. We work every day to become a better football team and to win a state title once again.

Who on your team would you say is going to have a breakout season?

Stephen Idowu Caxton is an offensive tackle in the class of 2028, I’ve seen him work out and do linemen drills plenty of times. I know that this year Stephen will get a lot of exposure and possibly earn himself his first division one football offer.

What do you want coaches to know about you?

I want college coaches to know that I am a great player on and off the field, and that I am a player that works every day to get to the next level after high school. And if any college coaches read this interview please look into Carl Sandburg High School football team, we have many good players including myself!
