What is up last year could be down this year and what is down last year can up this year. ANYTHING AND I MEAN ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN IHSA FOOTBALL. DUKANE CONFERENCE 2022 Season Preview
For some weird reason I was right about 2021 DuKane Conference being a weird season, but I got my picks wrong. This 2022 season I think will return to a regular normal outlook for the DuKane Conference. Wheaton North played lights defense last season and won state and still looks good for the upcoming season even with their star QB gone. Batavia is Batavia and they always reload but the main thing will be how much their offensive line grows for the upcoming season but could be title contenders. St. Charles North had a disappointing season, but they are ready to bounce back this upcoming season and challenge Batavia. Lake Park hires a new head coach and look to jump start the program. Glenbard North was thorn in a lot of team's sides the whole and look to be a disrupter again. Wheaton Warrenville South almost upset Brother Rice in the first round and look to compete this season. Geneva was the big surprise with the playoff berth and the look even better this year. St. Charles East has had weird two seasons and look to get back in contention. Lake Park has a new head coach and a new direction for its program. We got stars everywhere in the DuKane this season and looks like an epic rivalry between St. Charles North vs Batavia this season.
