Great Monday morning at the Lyons Township camp today. Lyons Township is coming off a .500 Spring Season and their are plenty of positives for this squad as we get into the fall. Coach Beutjer had to enter his first season as Head Coach under Covid protocol and for a coach to deal with that, you got to give the man credit. Consider Beutjer a future big name coach in the IHSA. Great youth movement for the Lions from the line to the athletes. From what I saw I think that this defense is going to be one of their strengths along with their dynamic passing attack. Got a great array of playmaking defenders on the defense along with national star recruit DL Tuerk who will only be a sophomore (3 more years of terror for WSC QBs). LT defensive line is going to be very special this season with some space eaters. On the offense I really like their QB Joey Antonietti, I really think this kid could be one of the top QBs in the Western Suburban Conference (Top 10 Illinois QB). To me that Lions offensive line could be a huge underrated group for this team. Great size on that OL going against those very athletic WSC defensive lines. Really think as well, that LT could have one of the best pass defenses in the state of Illinois. Secondary has speed that does not give them justice on the game film. They need to fire on all cylinders against a very tough New Trier for Week 1.

@ Downers Grove North Sept 24th - Trap Game
@ Hinsdale Central September 10th - Big Game
LT must win that game against OPRF, it will set the tempo for the season. DGN could be a big trap game for the Lions when we get to Week 9. Always a big rivalry game in the Western Suburbs is LT vs Hinsdale Central and I believe another must win for LT to reach the playoffs.
