Ben Wellman how was your 2019 season? I feel I had a solid season. There were ups and downs that I had to work through but I learned a lot from it. There is still a lot to prove. What does football mean to you? Football allows me to be apart of a team, be a leader, gives me an outlet and most importantly gives me the opportunity to compete and win. It has been a huge part of my life since I was 5 years old. So what made you commit to Hope College? It felt like home. I have the opportunity to play both football and baseball. The coaches will push me to be a better man and QB. The facilities are advanced and will allow me to reach my full potential. Most importantly the academics will challenge me and greatly prepare me for life. What do you see in this Quincy Notre Dame squad for Friday night? They are very solid in all phases of the game. It’s going to be a battle. What do you like about playing QB? I love how cerebral and physically tough I have to be in order to succeed. I love the challenge of bringing my best everyday to lead the team. Who else on Bloomington should I be on the lookout for on Friday night? Tre Jenkins, Jacob Sanchez, Jack Weltha, Adam Beasley and Dylan Rodgers.
