Kael Ryan Sterling Athlete Class of 2023 6'0 200

Kael Ryan how tough was it for you to be out last fall season? It was definitely one of the biggest mental challenges I’ve had to face in my entire life. The mental aspect of it was overwhelming, without football you have more of an opportunity on growth as a person and not just as a football player. What does football mean to you? Football is a huge portion of life, I work every day to be the best that I can be. But football being taken away from me for a while had given me the opportunity to think about how limited our time is to play the game so focusing on a plan after football, and working hard on that part of things is also important. What schools have you talked to so far? Bucknell, Drake, South Dakota State, Saint Thomas, my two brothers schools (CSP and Augustana in South Dakota) and a few others. What should college coaches know about you? A few things I think separate me from others. One of those being that I can play any linebackers or boundary safety position, I only weigh 195 right now but I think it would be pretty easy to add whatever amount of weight college coaches think is adequate. Also academically coaches won’t need to motivate me or worry about me lacking in the classroom. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My ability to read & react, the athleticism speaks for itself but I watch tons of film & have a pretty good idea of what the offense is doing pre snap on most plays. What goals do you have for yourself this season? I want to put my team in the best position to win as many games as possible. Getting recruited is nice but no matter what, my first priority will 100% be trying to be the best player I can be for our team this season.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting
