Aiden Gomez, how was your junior season?
My junior season went very well. I had a lot of tackles, played every game without any injuries and I made All conference in the ESCC playing Defensive End.
What does football mean to you?
Football to me is everything it's been part of my life for the last 10 years, its brotherhood, its competition and it’s a way to create lifelong friends.
What schools have you talked to so far?
I have spoken to University of St. Thomas, University of Wisconsin-Platteville, Eastern New Mexico University and Brown University and I have been invited to numerous College camps.
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know that I am a hard worker, and I am dedicated to the game. I am coachable. I stay in the weight room, and I strive to be the best player on the field.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
I feel my strongest trait on the field is that I have a high motor and I have the ability to track the ball and I can read the game.
What part of your game are you working on in the offseason?
In the off season I am working on getting stronger, putting on muscle and working on speed.
What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season?
Some of the goals I have this upcoming season is winning state, being a team leader, making all conference again and earning a scholarship to a great college.
How was your wrestling season?
My wrestling season went very well. I made it to state, overall, it was a gear season considering I have only been wrestling for one year.
How has wrestling made you a better football player?
Wrestling has made me a better football player. It helped my balance, and I am quicker on my feet and my reaction time is faster and not to mention what it has done to my conditioning.
How does St. Patrick look for the upcoming season?
St. Patrick has a tough schedule but if we play the way we are capable of we should be in the playoffs.
Who is one player on St. Patrick that is slated to have breakout season?
It's a tough one. We have a lot of great players but if i had to choose one player that will have a breakout season that will be our quarterback Ryan Birt. It will be his first year as a starting varsity quarterback.
