Porter Needs Stillman Valley Athlete Class Of 2023 5'10 170
Porter Needs how is your season going for you so far? For my season as an individual, I am having my best one yet. Around 800 yards on around 80 carries and 10tds, definitely my best one yet. I’m loving and cherishing every last second with my team. We are currently 8-1, suffering our first loss to Genoa Kingston on Friday 28-32. All of us took it as a humbling experience and we are working very hard to not have to feel that way again. What should college coaches know about you? I am a very hard worker and am dedicated to improving on whatever needs to be done. I’m coachable and give my all every opportunity I get. I am also very respectful and live with strong morals. I’ve grown up being a 3 sport athlete, always training year round. I’ve learned lots from coaches would love to learn more playing at the next level. How good can this Stillman Valley team be in the playoffs? I think we have a good shot at going far. If we work our tails off and fix our mistakes, we can be great.
What has been your favorite memory of the regular season?
Probably scoring the game winning touchdown in overtime against the defending state champs, our rivals, the Byron Tigers.
Who on Stillman Valley is having a breakout season?
Being a run team it’s definitely our backfield. We have 3 players out of the 4 top leading rushers in the conference. Me, Jory Spain, and Owen Zitkus. Even earning the nickname 3 headed monster from multiple news outlets. Defensively linebacker Aiden Livingston is having an amazing comeback season after his injury last year, He stepped up and became the leader of the defense calling out everything he sees. Brenin Hendricks was also having his best season but is currently now injured but plans to do everything he can to recover and play football at the next level.
