Amarie Richardson Galesburg Running Back Class Of 2024 5'10 165
Amarie Richardson how was your junior season? My junior season I would say went well our record could of been a little better but there is a lot of tough teams in our conference. We had some injuries throughout the season that hurt us a lot and i feel like without those we would’ve been in a way better position. What schools have you been talking to so far? This past weekend I went on a junior day visit to Winona State in Minnesota and not that long ago. Waldorf University came to my school and talked to me, and a lot of school have invited me to go to their camps over the summer and they’ve been following me on social media and stuff. What should college coaches know about you? I’m known for my speed, I’m versatile, can run the ball and catch the ball, I’m a multi-sport athlete, and I'm a great playmaker on the field.
What does football mean to you? Close to everything I mean i’ve been playing since 1st grade and started tackle in 4th. I remember my first ever tackle football game going against 5th and 6th graders I scored 2 touchdowns my first 2 times touching the ball and ever since my first flag football game in 1st grade I fell in love with the game. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? I’ve mainly been working on getting bigger and faster which i’ve gained some weight and doing track helps me get a lot faster which i have been doing as well. How does Galesburg look for the upcoming season? I feel like we have a lot of potential I see our guys in the weight room putting in work during off season workouts while I’m at track practice and we have some young guys they are going to step up and play a big roll for our team. We have a different attitude this year, our guys actually want it and care for the game a lot more than I’ve seen in the past.
Who on Galesburg should we be on the lookout for this upcoming season?
Markis Lewis, Adrien Phillips, Nick Curtis, Gino Williams, Jamari Mcdonald, Gilbert Lemus, and there’s one more I'm forgetting that’s just what I can think of right now.
What motivates an Amarie Richardson? Family motives me the most for sure. If I didn’t have the support system that I did coming from my family I’m not sure what I would be doing right now or where I would be. I also have a good group of people to be around to help me down the right path and let me know the potential I really have.
