Reece Wagner West Aurora QB Class Of 2024 6'2 185
Reece Wagner how is your season going so far? It is going great. We’ve gotten out to a 4-0 start and we’re playing all 3 phases of the game well. We’ve got a big homecoming game against Yorkville this week so we’re fired up. What should college coaches know about you? They should know I’m an extremely hard worker. No matter the situation, I’m going to be one of the hardest workers in the room. They should also know that I hold a 4.1 GPA. What do you like about playing QB? I like being able to control the pace of the game. Everything is based off when I start my cadence so having that control feel is something I like.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
I think my strongest trait on the field is my ability to manage the offense. I feel like I’m very reliable to get us in and out of our sets and make sure guys are in the right spot. Especially with playing in an offense where we are in and out of different personnels a lot.
Who is having a breakout season on West Aurora?
Obviously our big guy Terrence Smith is having a huge year at receiver. Luis Estrella is a monster on defense and Jaden Edwards is getting our offense the ball a lot with 5 picks through 5 games.
Who is the funniest coach on West Aurora? That’s a really tough question but I’ll have to go with Coach Phelps. He’s all business on the field but once he steps off the turf, he’s a comedy show. He is also my civics teacher, so I get to have a double dose.
