Chatting With St. Ignatius Linebacker Cam Roberson Class Of 2021

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Cam Roberson St. Ignatius Linebacker Class of 2021 6'1 187

Cam Roberson how was your 2019 season? 2019 was a great year, I learned a lot from the past Seniors that built the foundation there and built off of it with an amazing season defensively with some touches on the offensive side as well. Overall it was a season to remember. What does football mean to you? The game itself means a lot to me. It’s taught me a lot of life lessons on adversity and handling pressure but along with that it’s brought amazing coaches, teammates, fans, and more importantly lots of great opportunities. What should college coaches know about you? I would say my work ethic and my focus on staying committed with the common goal of the team. I love to win and whatever it takes to do it I’m always willing to get it done. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I think really just the ability to play anywhere on the field and stand out. Using my speed and going to make a play on the ball is an instinct. What do you like about playing on the defense? Playing against the heavy competition of the offense and the adrenaline rush whenever you make a play or just doing your job to see your teammates make the play. Never gets boring when the defense gets loud! How does St. Ignatius look for the upcoming season? We have a fairly young team but I think we’ve got a team to compete with any team in the CCL. All of our seniors are ready to play ball. EJ Talarico and Leo Rugai are always working but don’t miss out on the juniors Damian Lassak and Jack Molloy. This season will definitely be a good one. Stay Tuned!
