Gavin Simmons Glenwood Athlete Class Of 2025 6'0 175
Gavin Simmons how was your sophomore season?
I would say it was a good and successful season. It was my first year playing as an outside receiver, but I felt that I adapted well and played a big role for my team this season. I felt like I did what I could to help my team win. Even though we didn’t reach our goal of a state title, I would say it was a successful season overall.
What does football mean to you?
Football means everything to me. The connection you build with your teammates is unmatched. Football also allows me to disconnect from any distractions and go do something I love.
What should college coaches know about you?
That i am a very versatile player. I can play pretty much anywhere on the field. I also do whatever it takes for the team to win at any cost. The last thing that I think college coaches to think about me is that I am very coachable and have a winning attitude.
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
In the off season I have been working on footwork and my route running. Such as my cuts and releases.
Who on Glenwood is ready for a breakout season this fall?
I know for a fact that I am ready for a breakout season. But other than me I would say either Brady Dwyer or Colten Kneodler. Both of them are fighting for the QB1 spot and whoever gets it will have a breakout season
Who is the funniest player on the Glenwood squad? I would have to say for the upcoming season, the funniest kid has to be my boy Dylan Huff. He’s always doing something funny or saying something to make everyone laugh.
