Lawrence Nalls Brooks ATH Class of 2023 6'2 235
Lawrence Nalls how is your season going for you so far? Our Season is going rough, we lost a lot of senior talent and have a young athletic team, so we are still getting to know each other. The future is bright though! What does football mean to you? Football means a lot to me, it means discipline, competition & brotherhood. These are three life skills that football has helped instill to me. I love the game and wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. What should college coaches know about you? What I think college coaches should know about me, is i’m willing to play any position under any scheme & that i’m the ultimate team player “it’s been instilled in me to a jack of all trades, another thing is my grades; my grades being good and having a 4.1 only makes me more recruitable. So just being a good student & good team player/high energy guy What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My football IQ, discipline & hitting; I’ll break down each one… IQ wise I’m a student of the game I eat sleep breathe football. So, I can recognize defenses, see routes & read things all in the heat of the moment. Discipline wise, I’m strong with this because I know I can trust my work & do what my coach asks to set an example for the team. Hitting wise I’m the Mike Backer so I must be a hard hitter to set the tone for the defense & game! What do you like about playing in the trenches? I like playing there because it’s physical & also a way to get used to contact early in the game. Usually, other positions have to brace for the first hit but as a lineman I know it’s coming. Also, the relationship with my brothers on the line makes it so much better! Who else on Brooks should be on the lookout for the remainder of the season? My Guy Antoine Young our running back, he’s dynamic & can also run you over. Vertis Shelby he’s a 6’6 OT with a 7’0 wingspan & a crazy athlete Christian Anderson: TE & LB, he has great hands if the ball thrown in his direction, he will catch it. Christian Walton: Center, heart and soul of the line & made all city last year.
