Clark Dilger how was your 2019 season?
It was truly amazing to be a part of the 8A State Championship team! I was glad to learn a lot from my teammates and coaches this year!
How good can this LWE Defense be for 2020?
This LWE defense can be super dangerous this year. We are loaded with tall, strong, fast, and athletic guys who can help make a big impact to our team!
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know that I am an extremely hard worker that loves to grind and get after it. I have that killer mentality on and off the field. I love to push myself and my teammates every single day to better ourselves individually, and more importantly as a team. I take my academics seriously and have a 4.0 GPA and am a member of the National Honors Society. I believe being smart in the classroom translates to being smart player on the field.
What do you like about playing on the defense?
I love the feeling of being one step ahead. Also, defense wins championships. I love when I can read the offense quickly and beat them to the spot to make plays. That is truly an amazing feeling. Additionally, playing on the defense is an honor because we play as a team. As Coach Z says, “There’s a party at the ball and only the defense is invited!”
What does football mean to you?
Football means the world. It’s more than a game, it’s a brotherhood. The guys you play football with are your brothers on and off the field for the rest of your life no matter what. It teaches discipline, respect, passion, how to carry yourself, the value of work ethic, to never give up, and so much more.
