Anthony Hernandez DB Schaumburg Class of 2021 6'2 190
CBP: Anthony Hernandez how your 2019 season?
ANTHONY: It was good. Unfortunately we had lost a couple close games this year and underperformed by our team standards but we came together really close this year as a team. A lot of young guys willing to work. So things are definitely looking on the upside this upcoming season
What schools have you talked to so far?
I just recently received my first offer from University Of Minnesota Duluth. But I have gotten the pleasure to talk to some other coaches. And I’m hoping to talk to more. Just gotta self market myself as much as I can. Long road ahead for sure.
What should college coaches know about you?
Definitely that my work ethic and effort on the field is my best quality. There is always things to improve on and there is always something to learn. And the fact that I can control what I want out of this game drives me. I get feedback about my game and rep it until I get it right on a consistent basis. I don’t quit until I get it done
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
Technique and speed have been my main points to focus on. As well I work on my hands while working on the other aspects of the game. But this upcoming season I want to focus on being technically sound and playing at a high speed under control
What game are you most excited about for this upcoming season?
Definitely the Conant rivalry game. It’s always an electric game and last year we came up with the upset so I am hoping we can do that again this year. And it’s at Schaumburg so it’s gonna be a great game
