Michael Priami QB Bartlett Class Of 2021 6'0 170
COACH BIG PETE: Michael Priami how was your 2019 season?
MICHAEL: My 2019 season was way more than i expected. It was a hit in the face of what real varsity football was like. Coming up to the varsity level as a junior and being the starting quarterback had a lot of added pressure. And on top of that, it was at Bartlett, who is very underrated and is on the come up. So I know I was going to have to play good. And i think I did just that. The season was filled with a bunch of good moments and some bad. But I learned a lot from those moments and will continue to keep them and learn from them as i move along in my football playing career.
What does football mean to you?
Football means the world to me. It’s my escape out of reality. If something bad is going on with school, friends or just stress, i can go out there and just throw the ball around and have fun. Football is my drive to do great things in life. Football is hopefully my way into college. Football is who I am. Everything I do is probably football related in some way. I love the sport. And i always will love the sport.
What do you enjoy about playing QB?
What i enjoy about playing QB is just that everything revolves around you. The ball doesn’t move until you say go, the receivers don’t get the ball unless you throw it to them, and the running backs don’t get the ball unless you hand it to them. And also just that it is one of the most important positions on the field. Also I like the pressure of the position. Being put out there to win the game for your team. And also the film is just insane to study. Knowing coverages, leverages, alignments and assignments. But i have loved it since i was 4. But the biggest challenge is making sure that the big boys up front are happy. Because if they are happy, then your happy. Because your not getting put on the ground. Linemen are easily the most important position on the offense. All 5 of them.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field?
I feel like my strongest trait on the field is my ability to make plays. When plays break down i have an instinct to make a play out of it. On a pass if the pocket collapses, i can escape and either run or find a receiver downfield.
What should college coaches know about you?
What college coaches should know about me is that i am a hard worker who will show up everyday and give it my best. I will be the best version of myself that i can. Although i am not the tallest or the biggest quarterback i will always put in the work and will have that self motivation to always keep getting better. And is the guy that you will want in your program.
