Mekhi Miller Class of 2021 Simeon ATH/LB 5'10 195
CBP: Mekhi Miller how was your 2019 season?
MEKHI: My 2019 season was great! I had 2 interceptions 1 for a pick 6. I also had plenty of tackles. Last but not least I can’t forget we won the city championship.
What does football mean to you?
Football means alot to me. Any time I step on the field all my pain go away. It’s not easy making it out one of Chicago’s most dangerous neighborhoods so football is also my escape. I love this game and I will do anything to keep playing.
What excites you most about this Simeon squad for 2020?
We all played together since freshman year. It’s a couple of new faces but we have a big bond over at Simeon. Me and my teammates bond on and off the field so the chemistry level with be high. This excites me the most.
What should college coaches know about you?
I’m a leader. I lead on and off of the football field, I know my rights and wrongs, I’m a very quick learner and last but not least I can be held accountable and accept when I’m wrong.
What goal do you have for yourself this upcoming season?
My main goal is to be the BEST student athlete I can possibly be. Put my blood, sweat, and tears into every single play. A secondary goal is to put my heart on the line on the field and brain on the line in the classroom.
