Nate Sheets Alleman Class of 2020 ATH 6'0 195
Nate Sheets how was your 2018 season?
It was good, coming off of the 2017 season I was out for most of the year, so to come back and play the way I did was good. I know I could’ve done better for myself and the team, but I now know what I need to work on for my final high school season
What was one of your favorite memories from last season?
Probably winning the final regular season game vs. Bloom Township down by Chicago. We were 4-4 going in and had to win to make it to the playoffs and we went in and handled our business and came out with the win.
What should college coaches know about you?
I like to bring energy and fun. I know when to be serious but it’s always good to have fun playing the sport you love. So I can be serious and fun, and through that I’m still working my hardest.
How does Alleman look this season?
I think we’ll be a team that other teams shouldn’t over look. We may not have a lot of size but that’s how Alleman usually is. We’re all really close and we trust each other, so we’ll be a solid team that should compete with any team that comes our way and I believe if everyone does their job on offense and defense we could be a team to make a run.
What game are you most looking forward to this upcoming season?
I would say all of our conference games, but to say one in particular is Geneseo. We haven’t played them in high school and they’re a new conference opponent this upcoming year. So to go out the first year versus a team we haven’t played yet will be a good time I believe.
Who are some players on Alleman I should be on the lookout for this upcoming season?
Jack Patting, LB, he started last year as a sophomore but broke his leg, he even played a few more plays after he broke it. He’s a tough kid and he made some amazing plays for us last year and i’m hoping the same for this year. Killian Ahern, WR/DB, he’s fast and has great hands, it’s always nice throwing to him because he always goes after the ball no matter where it is and he’ll risk his body for the ball.
What goal do you have for yourself this upcoming season?
I want to make it on the All-State team. I think if I put in the work I can do that, and knowing that’s my goal it pushes me to be the best I can be.
