Ethan Gift how was your 2018 season?
As a team, we came up short in the semifinals against a great Forreston team, but we had many outstanding achievements throughout the season. Individually, I thought I had a strong season. A few challenges to overcome, but I have been/will be working hard in the off season to get even better.
Favorite memory of last season?
Playing alongside such a special group of seniors each Friday night.
How good can Lena Winslow be in this crowded NUIC?
I think we can do as well as we allow ourselves. In a conference packed full of talented athletes and tough teams, it all comes down to who shows up and wants it more.
Funniest player on Lena- Winslow is?
We have so many “unique personalities” that it is hard to pick just one to be the funniest!
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
To be the best possible version of myself, both physically and mentally. To be the best leader and most reliable teammate that I can be in order to reach our team goals. Overall, I hope that I remember to cherish and enjoy my senior season. I don’t want to leave anything behind.
What should future classes of Lena-Winslow players know about putting those colors on?
It is a huge privilege to carry on a long tradition of success. The elementary kids will look up to you, just like you looked up to past teams when you were younger. You will have a lot of eyes on you when you are apart of the program. Represent the colors the right way, whether those eyes are on you or not.
