Donovan Earles how was your senior season?
It was great despite the tough losses we took as a team I mean because who wants to lose right I enjoyed every second of it
What does it mean to have Coach James at Morgan Park?
It means a lot it’s truly a blessing he has never turned his back on any kid he believes in every kid has potential to be great and he trains us and sets us up for greatness so we can be ready for the next level he wants us to be student athletes and that what we are he has turned us into better men and taught values besides just sports but in life as well
Got to ask... Any funny Coach James stories?
Many Coach James has a lot of funny stories I wouldn’t know where to start
Favorite memory this season?
The Hubbard game . I led my team to a win that not too many people thought we were going to get
What does CPS football mean to you?
It means a lot because suburban kids don’t have to struggle like we do we didn’t have all the brand new equipment and have a brand new field and a track. We used what we had and that makes me appreciate everything so much more
What advice would you give the young incoming Morgan Park players?
Don’t let it overwhelm you... School is important take care of your business in the classroom and on the field education is a powerful tool and on the field or in any sport give it all you got because you never know who is watching and evaluating you .
What motivates a Donovan Earles?
Just knowing we’re I came from and were I want to be. I made a promise to myself my family my grandmother and God that I would give it all I got and that I will make it. I just know if I keep working I will do exactly that hard work beats talent.
