Marist's Caleb Burrell DT/NT Talks Recruiting & Football Class Of 2019

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams

Caleb Burrell Marist DT Class of 2019 6'0 250

COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE

Caleb is a tank in the middle of the defensive line, one of the better interior defensive linemen in Illinois. One thing you want to see in a defensive linemen is "NO QUIT" and Caleb has that.

Caleb Burrell what schools have you been talking to?

I have been talking to Drake, Yale, Dayton, Northern Michigan, and University of Mary

What does Marist football mean to you?

What Marist football means to me is to play as a unit and to hold everyone accountable for the big things and the little things. Also to act is if we’re family

What do you like about playing on the defensive line?

What I like about playing on the defensive line is that it’s a physical fight every down and I like to pass rush on passing downs

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I want colleges coaches to know that I get after it and I have a motor that doesn’t stop

Glad you said that, You dont give up no matter how big the lineman is. What motivates a Caleb Burrell?

What motivates me is how I’m looked at because of my lack of size and just the overall love for the game

So how does Marist look this season?

Marist is looking pretty good this year we lost a lot of people on defense and lost 3 offensive linemen from last year but we still have a lot of starters from last year returning

Funniest guy on the Marist team?

Definitely gonna go with a tie between Mike Markett our qb or our linebacker Danny Socha

What is you least favorite part about practice?

Alright the worst part of practice is probably when we do a conditioning drill called “the perfect three” we have to run three perfect plays and we can’t jump offsides so it’s cans spread out all over so after we complete one station we have to run all the way over to the next station and if we mess up we start from the beginning

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA

RESPECT THE GAME
