So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

These next two years I will be paying very close attention to the Bradley Bourbonnais football program. Jason Hartsfield is one of the those players, runs great routes and has a great set of hands. It will be interesting to see to see how his athleticism develops this fall.
Jason Hartsfield what schools have you been talking to?
I haven’t had any direct contact with coaches as of yet
What does Bradley Bourbonnais Football mean to you?
It means a lot to me. being able to wear the boilers across your chest is an honor not many get. Bradley has a different atmosphere than anywhere I’ve been. With me growing up in the area, when I was little I would see these huge football players and I looked up to them like they were NFL players. And now that I’m in that position, I’m ready to leave a legacy for the community to remember
What is one thing in your game that you have been trying to work on in the offseason?
For me as a receiver, I’ve always been on the taller side so I have been working on getting in and out of my breaks quicker. I pride myself on being a good route runner and I have continued to develop that aspect of my game this offseason so far
You guys had an losing season last year, What do you think about the coming season?
Last year we had a lot of talent but we had trouble molding together as a group. Not everyone had each other’s backs. The great teams we have had the last few years molded together very well and this year I like all the different personalities we have on the team upcoming this year. We have a lot of talented guys and even a lot of young guys ready to step up. Most of us have been playing together since grade school so we all know each other and we are all excited about what we can do this upcoming season.
Really think you guys have one of more underrated coaching staffs in Illinois, Explain what the Bradley Bourbonnais Coaching Staff means to you guys?
I could go on for hours about how grateful we are to have a great coaching staff here at Bradley. All of the players here have such a great respect for coach kohl and all of our coaches here. There is never a time where we don’t see them meeting up and talking about this upcoming season. Not only do they care about us as players, they care about us as people and individuals. That is something that us as players really respect about or coaching staff and they are like our role models in a way. It’s a special thing to have a coaching staff that is behind you as a player and even more as an individual as well
What is on thing you would like college coaches to know about you?
One thing I want college coaches to know about me, I’m willing to do whatever it takes to win. I think it was necessary for us to have a losing season like we did last year. Last year lit a fire under me that I don’t ever want to have a losing season like that again and that I have been working on my game a lot this offseason. it was an eye opening experience and it has fueled me this offseason to never settle for mediocrity. I wanna be the best player I can possibly be. and I will be willing to do whatever it takes to contribute to your team in any way, shape or form
One player on Bradley Bourbonnais that College Coaches need to take a look at?
Dalton Boswell. He is a 2 sport athlete and he shows up to every lift session we have whether it is our Friday morning workouts or our after school workouts, he is there whenever he can during his baseball season and he never misses during football season. He is a dedicated guy and I have a lot of respect for him.
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
A goal I have for myself is to be a leader to the team this year. I have been in varsity my freshman and sophomore year. That has helped me develop leadership skills and learned the pace of the game and be a mentor for the guys that don’t have as much experience. I think I’m ready to take that next step and be a leader for the team this coming season.
