Meet Providence Catholic's Jake Renfro Class Of 2020 OL
So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.
Jake Renfro Class of 2020 Providence Catholic OL 6'3 280
COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE
Jake Renfro is on my 2020 Watchlist, and I consider him one of the best centers in Illinois. He will be a summer riser to watch during the camp season. Great center low burst and not a bad job reading the defense for a sophomore center.
Jake Renfro what schools have you been talking to?
I haven't been talking to any schools yet but hopefully, that will come soon.
What part of your game have you been working on this offseason?
I have been working on my strength and speed over this off-season. Also, I have been working on my feet.
What was your favorite memory from last season?
My favorite memory from last season was when we got to play on our home field one more time in the semi-finals.
How hard is it to snap the ball? Alot of people dont understand it
It isn't that hard to snap the ball, all snapping is is muscle memory and timing. If you were to get the timing down, anyone would be able to snap the ball
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
My goal this season is to make playoffs and then make a run for state.
Give me a under looked player that college coaches should be taking a look at from Providence?
Jerrel Wright. He is a sophomore and extremely fast, very hard worker and gets good grades. He will be a very good college player one day.
What game are you looking forward to the most?
I am looking forward to the Lockport game the most because it is the season opener and we get to play at Soldier Field. Also, I know they will be bringing their best to us and so will we.
